So what is Turbulence Training and what is all the hype about?

Craig Ballantyne has designed a full body fat loss program that focuses on short but very intense workouts. These workouts were designed for people who don’t have time to get to the gym but want to be in the best shape of their lives. Who really has the time to spend 2-3 hours in the gym every day?

In fact you don’t even need to go to the gym, you can do it from your own home and the workouts take no more than 45 minutes.

It’s called Turbulence Training because you start with 25 minutes of strength training quickly followed by 20 minutes of interval training which will send your metabolism through the roof and turn you into a fat burning machine.

People often ask “how can I build muscle and burn fat at the same time and do it in less than 30 minutes”? The answer to this is the superset training method that incorporates upper and lower body exercises as one set. When you do supersets you perform one exercise followed by the other followed by a short rest. You will find that Turbulence Training uses the most effective exercises for burning more calories during your workout.

An example of a Turbulence Training superset would be:

1a. Bench Press (3×8)

1b. Prisoner Squat (3×8)

Rest

Combining exercises like this will help to boost your metabolism and help to burn fat for longer periods.

Variety is the other concept that gives Turbulence Training its success. You will find that the routines are changed every four weeks. This, as Craig explains is to prevent your body from adapting to the workouts. There were a few things I didn’t like about TT and that was the need for specialty equipment if you want to work out from home. However after bringing it up in the TT member’s forum Craig gave me a few effective alternatives to replace certain exercises. I guess the only other difficulty was how hard I found the exercises to begin with, but hey fat loss is a battle.


So what did Turbulence Training do for me?
