Who is Craig Ballantyne and how did he discover Turbulence Training?

Craig developed Turbulence Training while studying at university where he gained a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. He was spending up to 16 hours a day in the lab unable to find time to go to the gym and as a former athlete he knew he had to find a way to stay in shape (sounds familiar, hours at work and no time to work out).

 

One day he noticed how power athletes like sprinters were lean and strong while long distance or endurance athletes did not have much in the way of lean well sculpted muscle. Sprinters didn’t spend hours doing long boring cardio, yet they didn’t carry a lot of body fat. So why was the fitness industry telling everyone that the only way to lose fat was to do long boring cardio? This is where Turbulence Training was born.

 

Along with a Masters degree Craig is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and he writes for numerous health and fitness magazines including Men’s Health. He has over 16 years, hands on experience in the gym and his Turbulence Training program is endorsed by personal trainers and strength coach’s worldwide.
